The Magnum ADK-16 is all new for 2012. Rated at 16kW at 240 Volts and running at a max of 66 Amps of power to make hot water but using one, 2 Pole, 70 Amp breaker. Note that you will only need this one breaker, ground and two hot wires for easy hookup. Consult an electrician for compliance with codes. This unit uses the same gauge wire needed for the Magnum ADK-14. The Magnum ADK-16 is more powerful unit than our Magnum ADK-14 which uses 58 Amps at Max. We recommend professional installation with any tankless water heater. The temperature rise chart illustrates the flow rates and temperature rise which can be achieved with the different ADK Models. The chart is based on a 240 volt input voltage and maximum flow rates are listed for various incoming water temperature levels. If your home or business has less than 240 volt power (e.g. 208v), your flow rate will be lower. Simply look up your incoming water temperature and desired flow rate to determine your model choice. Temperature of your incoming water changes throughout the year. When planning the final replacement of your old tank water heater then be sure to find the cold incoming water in the winter when calculating your temperature rise.
