Electric Shower Head
Electric Shower Head
Electric Shower Heads have been in high demands for many years in areas where homes do not have running hot water. American Heat electric shower heads are designed similar to their tankless water heaters. This unit actually plugs into a standard 110 volt outlet and allows an 18 degree Farenheit heat rise in one gallon of shower spray per minute. Bottom view of the Amerian Heat Shower Head displays the controls of this electric shower head.AHSH 110 Volt Shower Heat by American HeatThe AHSH is designed with simple On/Off Control, Heat Increase and Decrease controlsStandard spray volume is 1 gallon per minute. The unit is quickly converted to 1.5 gallons per minute by removing a small plastic disk at the shower head attachment.Look at any other electric shower head in the rest of the industry. The American Heat AHSH uses a sealed stainless steel heat exchanger monitored by auto-resettable circuit breakers. The competitor's shower head are made of plastic inside and out. Instead of filling a cavity that pushes a rubber disk up so that electrical contact can be made, the AHSH by American Heat, uses a standard flow switch like standard tankless water heaters found throughout the United States and the rest of the world. When water flows in, a small spring loaded "bullet switch" activates the unit by telling a small onboard microprocessor to heat the elements in its stainless steel heat exchanger. Well, the competition uses a spring which heat water in the surrounding water much like springs found in a standard toaster or hair dryer. Take the competitor's electric shower head apart and you may be "shocked" as to what you see. (Literally, in thousands of incidences thoughout the years). The American Heat AHSH/110volt, 2.5kW unit easily plugs into a standard, grounded electrical socket. Currently, this unit is for Export only from the United States and cannot be sold back into the USA or Canada. Beautiful but functionally designed to quickly convert any cold water shower into water with an extra 18 degrees Farenheit. This is called a "heat rise" in tankless water heating jargon. Adding additional heat rise simply offers hotter showers.
